Yesterday, the Nigerian Twittersphere got into a hullabaloo when Bello, the son of Nasir El-Rufai, the Kaduna State gubernatorial candidate of the APC tweeted
that his father just got his Permanent Voters’ Card the day before.
Some Nigerians on Twitter took it up, criticizing the All Progressives Congress Kaduna state governorship aspirant for not collecting his PVC before now.
While some people were amused as to how someone who is running for a post in an election will not have what will make him vote, some were of the opinion that he is among the people that planned to rig the election somehow.
Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai was a former Director General of The Bureau of Public Enterprises, the head privatisation agency in Nigeria and also the former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja from 16
July 2003 to 29 May 2007. He is 55 years old.
