6am starts, no filming breaks, and Kanye is ALWAYS on a diet: Kim reveals what it's really like to Keep Up With The Kardashians

We're used to seeing her dramatic moments played up for the cameras on the reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians. But now Kim, 34, has revealed what it's really like in a normal day of her life, in a candid diary-style article she's written for Harper's Bazaar to promote her new book of selfies, Selfish.Into it, Kim reveals that she's up everyday at 6am (with one eye open to read e-mails), is rarely ever allowed to take breaks during filming and husband Kanye West is 'always' on diet, thanks to a nutritionist he's hired for the both of them.

Talking about her husband's strict healthy eating plan, she says: 'Kanye loves to eat really healthy and is always on different diets.
'He has a chef who comes in the morning and cooks breakfast for both of us and gets our meal plans together for the day.'
According to Kim, Kanye's nutritionist changes meals for the couple every 10 days.
There's no time for sweet talk between the image-conscious pair either, as Kim admits that the first thing she says to Kanye in the morning is 'Do you want to go for a run?' before setting off for a jog around their plush home in a gated-community in California.
Kim is famous for her discipline when it comes to working out (having lost a staggering 55lbs in 11 months before her wedding to Kanye) so it is no surprise to learn just how dedicated she is.
The reality star reveals that her daily work outs are 'usually about an hour, maybe an hour and 15 minutes total, but I like to mix them up'.
She adds: 'Running takes me about 35 minutes on the trails (around her complex), and then I'll come back and work my abs or legs.'
When it comes to Kim's diet, she reveals she enjoys scrambled eggs, oatmeal or a protein shake for breakfast and then for lunch and dinner a professional chef will serve her fish or chicken with vegetables.
For snacks she'll eat Justin's peanut butter packs and her biggest indulgence is the Dulce de Leche flavour Haagen-Dazs - but cocktails and other deserts are banned.
She also claims there are little breaks allowed when filming Keeping Up With The Kardashians (that takes three separate camera crews to film, who will rotate daily).
'We don't really get breaks because we have three crews and they switch to get their breaks. We break only if we eat, if we break at all,' she says.
The piece is to promote her new book Selfish, a collection of her selfies she started taking back in 2006, though Kim admits: 'We didn't call them selfies back then.'
Talking about the book last year, Kim told the Evening Standard Magazine: 'Kanye came up with the concept and the name and everything.
'He introduced me to the book publisher. And I was like, 'This is such a good idea, I can't believe I didn't think of it.' It's 352 pages and multiples on the page, so I turned in probably 2,000 selfies."
Kim - who married 37-year-old Kanye in May last year - has refuted accusations the tome is nothing but a vanity project for her, insisting it is a catalogue of her life and a reflection of the modern world.
The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star added: 'I've been taking selfies for a long time - it's like now [seen as] such a vain thing, but it really started off with me just having a camera around to capture memories. They're selfies taken over a decade.'
Kim - who gave birth to daughter North in June 2013 - has also given her top tips on how to take the best selfie possible.
She explained: 'Lighting is key. I think a lot of people take a lot of selfies before they actually post one. So, in the book you'll definitely see ... like I posted this one selfie of myself in a white bathing suit, after I had the baby ... it was kind of like from the back in the mirror... and I took about 10 shots to get that one. So I'm probably going to put all ten in there.'
Harper’s BAZAAR’s May issue hits newsstands April 21.
