President Obama and Michelle Obama Go for a Nature Walk with Their Daughters

How did President Obama wrap up the weekend? A low-key nature walk with the First Family.

President Barack Obama, 53, and First LadyMichelle Obama, 51, joined their two daughters Sasha, 13, and Malia, 16, for an unscheduled hike through Great Falls Park on Sunday.

POTUS and his girls left the White House around 5 p.m. and spent about 45 minutes on the park trails – where they were also joined by a few other families – before returning home around 7 p.m.

The Obamas kept it casual in fleeces and baseball caps. An official White House photographer also joined them during the stroll.

The hike took place during opening weekend of the U.S. National Park Service National Park Week, which allowed families free access to the area both Saturday and Sunday.

The first lady is a major advocate of getting up and outside. She celebrated the fifth anniversary of her Let's Move! Healthy living crusade earlier this year, getting major celebs to join the fitness and wellness project.
